VIA Rail to Resume Service Between Gillam and Churchill on Friday, July 18th

Winnipeg, July 18, 2014 ‎– VIA Rail Canada (viarail.ca) announced that the service between Gillam and Churchill will resume today, Friday, July 18th. On June 2nd, 13 freight train cars derailed near Churchill in Northern Manitoba, forcing VIA Rail to suspend its service between Gillam and Churchill.

The first departure out of Gillam and going to Churchill is scheduled for 11:30 p.m. tonight. The first train to depart Churchill is scheduled tomorrow, Saturday, July 19th, at 7:30 p.m.
