Mario Péloquin Begins his Mandate as VIA Rail’s President and Chief Executive Officer

MONTRÉAL, June 27, 2023 - VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) is delighted with the arrival of Mario Péloquin who officially begins his mandate today as the Corporation’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Péloquin brings over three decades of experience in the rail industry, a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities it presents, and a demonstrated commitment to ensuring transportation services meet the needs of communities across Canada.

In response to his appointment, Mr. Péloquin said: “I am honoured to join VIA Rail, an organization that plays such a vital role in Canada's transportation landscape.
